Before traveling, always ensure that your travel insurance is up to date and covers any medical expenses or emergency transportation during your travels to Africa.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (www.cdc.gov), the following vaccinations are recommended for Tanzania: hepatitis A, hepatitis B, rabies, typhoid, boosters for tetanus, diphtheria and measles.

Yellow fever vaccination or certificate is not officially required to enter Tanzania unless you’re coming from an infected area, proof of vaccination may be required on arrival.

Malaria is widely spread in Tanzania and taking preventative measures, like taking malaria tablets and using mosquito repellent, is recommended. Mosquito nets are provided in all accommodations, where necessary.

Stay safe and enjoy the journey.
