LOCATION
Tanzania is located in East Africa, on the shores of the Indian Ocean. It is bordered by Kenya to the north and Mozambique to the south; and shares inland borders with Burundi, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Malawi, Rwanda, Uganda and Zambia.
Tanzania is easily reached via frequent air connections to Dar es Salaam, Kilimanjaro and Zanzibar airports.
WHEN TO GO?
With a year-round tropical climate, Tanzania is a country that is great to visit at any time of the year. There’s excellent game viewing in most months and the Great Wildebeest Migration can be observed all year long. The rainy seasons are generally March to May and November to mid December, when the landscape turns emerald green. Rainy season does not mean that the wildlife sightings are less impressive. In contrast, December to March are the warmest months and the grasslands take on a golden glow. The dry season brings cooler months from June to October.
ARRIVAL & VISA
Visa is required to enter Tanzania. You can acquire the visa from your nearest Tanzanian embassy or obtain the visa on arrival in the airport. We highly recommend to all our guests to get a visa before traveling to Tanzania. This will save you a lot of time on arrival, because the process of obtaining a visa on arrival is a relatively slow and the queues can be very long. The single entry visa (valid for max 30 days) on arrival costs $ 50.- per person for most nationalities. For US citizens the single entry visa costs $ 100.- per person.

Tanzania is a very large country and traveling between destinations and national parks means long drives. After all, it for a reason that this type of traveling is called SAFARI - Swahili word for JOURNEY.

Take this opportunity to relax and enjoy the views while in transit between the national parks. If you are planning to end your safari in Zanzibar, Mafia Island or Pemba Island, plan it to the end of your trip for maximum relaxation.
